"Having Brianna by my side during my pregnancy and postpartum journey was a true blessing. At 34 weeks, I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension and was incredibly anxious about the weeks ahead. "As someone who is new to acupuncture I’m so grateful to have had Brianna for my first acupuncture treatment. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly understand the areas I was seeking help with. She made sure to check in on me as she conducted the treatment to see how things were feeling and also told me why certain areas may feel more activating than others (which was very cool to learn!).

My first treatment was focused on helping support my sleep, specifically mitigating my nightly 2am bathroom breaks that have been plaguing my sleep for years. I wasn’t sure what to anticipate after the treatment since it was my first time, but I was blown away when I slept through every night for the following two weeks! Needless to say, I can’t recommend her enough!"

After a decade inside the medical system, I built the practice I wished existed.

I'm Dr. Brianna Darcey, a Doctor of Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine and Registered Nurse with 16 years of clinical experience. After a decade as a Labor & Delivery nurse — most recently at UCSF, supporting hundreds of births — I saw firsthand how much the medical system can offer, and where it leaves people without enough support. That's what led me to East Asian medicine, and to building an acupuncture practice in Oakland where there's actually room for you.

People come to me with specific things — a baby that needs to turn, a back that won't quit, hormones that have stopped cooperating. I have the tools for all of it: acupuncture, bodywork, cupping, herbs, moxa, and 16 years of clinical experience to draw from. But what most people don't expect is the level of attention they receive. Every detail of your session is considered. You are not a problem to be solved — you are a person being cared for.

In most acupuncture practices, a practitioner is seeing two to four patients an hour. In mine, you are the only one. That means far more hands-on time — bodywork, acupuncture, cupping, moxa, herbs — whatever combination your body needs that day. You're not just receiving more attention. You're receiving more treatment.

If you're in Oakland or the East Bay and looking for acupuncture care that treats you as a whole person, I'd love to work with you.

PHILOSOPHY

Specialties

Many practices see 2-4 patients in an hour. I see one.

That means more bodywork, more hands-on time, and more treatment.

Fertility

Trying to conceive can be one of the most hopeful and most exhausting experiences at the same time. Whether you're just beginning or have been on this road for a while,

I meet you without judgment and with a full toolkit — acupuncture, herbal medicine, supplement guidance, and support for the emotional weight that so often comes with this process. You deserve care that sees the whole picture, not just the clinical one.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy is one of the most physically and emotionally demanding experiences of a person's life — and one of the most under-supported.

Whether you're navigating morning sickness in the first trimester, managing pain and sleep disruption as your body changes, or preparing for labor in the final weeks, I meet you where you are.

I've supported hundreds of births as a Labor & Delivery nurse, and that experience informs every session — I know what your body is doing, and I know how to help.

Postpartum

The weeks after birth are sacred and hard in equal measure. Your body has been through something enormous, and the world often moves on before you're ready.

I offer home visits in the first weeks postpartum — coming to you, so you don't have to go anywhere — to support your recovery, your milk supply, your emotional processing, and whatever else your body is asking for. You did the hard work. Let someone take care of you now.

Stress/Burnout

Sometimes the body just stops cooperating — the sleep won't come, the tension won't leave, and getting through the day feels like more than it should. Burnout isn't weakness; it's what happens when you've been running on empty for too long.

Acupuncture works deeply on the nervous system, and a full hour of undivided care has a way of reminding your body what it feels like to rest.
